Hi! Welcome to Mighty Oak Ministries (MOM). Do you have questions about Jesus Christ, MOM, or are you looking to support one of our network members? Go ahead and explore our site for answers. If you still have questions or need some prayer after looking around, please contact us through Facebook or submit your prayer request here.
Who is MOM?
MOM is a nonprofit public charity incorporated in the State of Pennsylvania under IRC Section 501(c)(3) that exists to advance Christ’s global church through simple acts of love, encouragement, and hope. This is done through conducting and coordinating relief missions and outreaches, supplying support and encouragement, unifying and networking, as well as establishing governmental roots and the digital presence of churches and ministries.
That they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.Isaiah 61:3 ESV
MOM was founded by Jessica Engler, Chris Engler (that’s me), and Jose and Tamara Peralta. Jessica and Chris are both ordained ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ through the Apostolic Network of Global Awakening. We have missionary hearts with a call to strengthen and unify the body of Christ locally, nationally, and globally.
When not serving the body of Christ as missionaries, Jessica and Chris attend Kingdom Life Family Center in Orefield, PA. We love our family there! Join us Sundays at 10:00 AM EST for worship and teaching. Pastors Tony and Tammy Adamo are wise servants with enormous hearts.
Rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith…Colossians 2:7 ESV
MOM’s Current Missions:
As of October 2020, Oak Church is launched and running out of our home. Keep an eye out on our blog posts and/or follow-us on Facebook for our service times. As of now, we are running service every other Friday night starting at 6 pm for a family-style meal and we start worship around 7 pm.
Homeless Communities across Lehigh and Carbon Counties
We are His hands and feet to the world. Everyone is important. Everyone matters. Throughout 2019 and 2020, we provided basic needs, love, friendship, and prayer to those living in the woods of Allentown, PA. Those woods were recently sold and the homeless residents were disbursed. We are now actively seeking God how to expand our efforts to reach the ones disbursed and to reach the homeless in Carbon County. We need direction, networking and favor. Please keep us in prayer as we embark on this mission.
So the last will be first, and the first last.Matthew 20:16 ESV
National: Pine Ridge Indian Reservation
We claim Jeremiah 33:9 over Pine Ridge and all its inhabitants: ‘And this city shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth who shall hear of all the good that I do for them. They shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the prosperity I provide for it.’
Within moments of touching the earth in Pine Ridge we had a vision of great economic growth and abundance. That vision was in our spiritual eyes. However, our physical eyes saw poverty, brokenness, hopelessness and addiction greater than we could have ever prepared for. We stood before these great people, looked into their eyes and saw history, wisdom and pain; yet their smiles emanated love and acceptance. We were immediately moved to compassion and a deep love for the Lakota people which has remained though we are over 1,500 miles away. Our hearts remain with them and the vision forever before us.
We have only touched the surface and dipped our toes into the well that exists on Pine Ridge. We have been blessed to work with Eagle Rock Christian Center from Peru Illinois who has been going to the Rez for 15 years faithfully! We are grateful for the invitation to join them in spreading hope. We have donated food and supplies. We have prayed, loved and embraced. With generous donations we were able to set up a computer lab with 7 fully functioning computers for the Lakota people to use to grow in knowledge, education and job opportunities.
We hope for day our feet touch Pine Ridge soil again! However, due to so many changing circumstances this year we have been unable to return. We trust God and His timing and believe in His love and care for this nation.
Global: The Great Commission
MOM is doing multiple things to reach the world.
First, we are gathering in missionaries and leaders; to offer support in various ways. We created The Giving Oaks (GO) Network to help missions around the world collect needed funds for mission work. We are working on connecting the body, building a global network of ambassadors for Jesus. Contact us if you are a missionary or a leader and are interested in joining the network.
Next, MOM is slowly publishing the World English Bible (WEB) online and using it as a basis for our website visitors to translate the Bible into any of the languages available through Google Translate (over 100 of them!). Our hope is that every tribe and tongue will have access to His word in their native language.
Also, we are also publishing the Bible Verse of the Day in several languages, offering a Bible Verse Lookup Tool, teaching others how to Purify The Internet by blocking pornography, praying for Prayer Requests, and helping others Plant a Seed through various opportunities.
Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.Matthew 28:18-20 WEB
