Mighty Oak Ministries MOM Corporation is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) missionary organization with a heart for supporting local, national, and global missions.

MOM was founded by Chris and Jessica Engler in 2018 based on these foundational scriptures:

  1. Isaiah 61:1-4 – The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor, he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion- to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified. They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastation; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.
    1. This is who we are and the call on our lives and this ministry.
  2. James 1:27 – Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
    1. We are called to the weak, vulnerable populations, those in oppression or in danger of oppression. We are to visit them in their affliction which often takes us to some of the darkest places. We are the light bringers.
    2. We bring family. We have gone to areas of brokenness and instituted family and from that healing came. We are specifically called as a mother and father to the orphans to bring them in and graph them into the family of God.
  3. Galatians 3:28 – There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
    1. We do not discriminate regarding gender, social class, race or any past mistakes that religion would use to cancel out someone.
    2. We believe we are truly one body of Christ and that there is one church – Christ’s Global Church. We are non-denominational but yet fully denominational. We are bridge builders across denominational walls, gaps and barriers.
  4. Matthew 28-19-20 – Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Father, and the son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
    1. All nations means there is nowhere we will not go. We believe in the trinity and all the teachings of Jesus Christ who is our example to follow. He never leaves us because He is in us.

Current Missions:

Local Missions:

  1. We provide homeless communities with resources as well as encouragement with a nonjudgmental attitude. We are there to show them that Christ has not forgotten them and to be His heart in loving them right where they are.
    1. We used to work mainly in Tent City, Allentown. This was the community that not even the police would enter but we had favor. We love these precious gems. This community has since been scattered and the land sold.
    2. We work with some small pockets of tent cities in Carbon County. We are working on gaining their trust.
    3. We began fostering a baby 8 months ago who was homeless. We were full time legal guardians for her for about 2 months and now have her 4 days a week while working on reunification with her parents. She is now 10 months old.
  2. We assist in serving in community outreaches: bringing food, clothing, toiletries and other needs.
  3. We provide spiritual support for multiple local pastors and leaders in Carbon, Lehigh and Monroe Counties.

National Missions:

  1. We assist churches across our country in the utilization of Google ads to connect with their communities, expand their reach and grow their congregations.
  2. We provide spiritual support for multiple pastors, leaders and spiritual children throughout our country. We take multiple trips during each year to visit each to minister to them in person as well as stay in constant contact during the year.
  3. We’ve done mission work on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, SD which is the poorest community in the United States. We have brought relief missions as well as spiritual.
  4. We also work with leaders of Standing Rock Reservation, ND.

Global Missions:

  1. We publish the bible in 33 versions, 17 languages and it is used by 196 countries. We are currently the most used Spanish Bible resource on Google. We offer free bible downloads.
  2. We are on the advisory board for Garden Missions. The team is building a discipling center, medical resources and orphanage in Botswana and Zambia, Africa.
  3. We spiritually support leaders in India, Israel and other African countries.
  4. We are currently working to bring relief to Poland during the Ukraine/Russian conflict by building a Summer Camp/Host Home program. We are awaiting the approval from the embassy to oversee 50 orphans from evacuated orphanages in the Ukraine. We are also providing prayer coverage and encouragement for a humanitarian team in Ukraine offering medical aid as well as military training for the Ukrainian army as they resist this invasion.

Lastly, we believe in the whole Bible as being the inspired word of God. We believe in the 5 offices: apostle, prophet, pastor, teacher, and evangelist; and that they all are working and flowing in the body today. We believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirit and that all the gifts of the Spirit are alive and flowing still. However, our beliefs do not stop us from working alongside, ministering to or loving those that believe otherwise. Again, non-denominational but fully denominational.

We bless you and ask that His face shine upon you. That He reveals Himself to you today, surrounds you with His love and protection while He shows you more of your identity found in Him, Christ Jesus.
